Our story
Two decades of structural expertise.
TGR was founded in Sydney with a single focus: deliver metal roofing and steel construction packages that commercial builders can rely on. Over more than 20 years, we've grown from a specialist roofing subcontractor into a full-service structural steel and cladding business trusted by some of NSW's leading project managers and developers.
We work directly with head contractors, project managers, and developers across the Greater Sydney region and regional NSW. Our team manages every stage — from design coordination and material procurement through to installation and handover — with a focus on programme certainty and quality outcomes.
We don't subcontract our core work. Our own crews install what we quote, which means accountability from first fix to final inspection.

$20M public liability cover. Certificate of currency available on request for all projects.
WHS Management
Site-specific WHS plans, SWMS, and induction documentation provided for every project.
Colorbond Accredited
Accredited installer of BlueScope Colorbond and Zincalume steel roofing and cladding systems.
Professional Indemnity
$5M professional indemnity insurance covering design coordination and specification advice.

20 years in commercial construction. Richard founded TGR after a decade as a senior project manager with a national head contractor.
Ted Gentle
Operations Manager
Oversees project delivery, crew scheduling, and supply chain. Ted has managed 100's of commercial roofing and steel projects.
